HistoryEstablished in 1984 with headquarters in Belgium. Zetes quickly developed a reputation for being an expert in automatic identification solutions, and became a Belgian leader in the Goods ID market. In 1993, the company started to earn recognition outside Belgium through contracts with international organisations. In 1998, Zetes made a strategic decision to extend its Belgian expertise throughout Europe. Over the next few years, Zetes expanded its geographic presence to become the pan-European solutions provider it is today with a presence in 12 countries: Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. In 1999, Zetes launched a new strategic initiative to add People ID to its activities, with rapid recognition of this additional solutions offering , including the production and project management of Belgian e-ID and social security cards and a biometric solution delivered to the the United Nations for voters’ enrolment in the Democratic Republic of Congo. These large-scale projects demonstrated Zetes’ ability to transfer, to its people ID activities, knowledge and skills acquired during its 20+ years of experience in the field of Goods ID deployments. 
In 2006, Zetes made several acquisitions regarding its Goods and People ID activities and also took a significant step in rolling out its growth strategy in the Goods ID market, by acquiring all Peak Technologies’ subsidiaries in Europe, not only expanding its geographical network but also reinforcing its presence in the Manufacturing and Retail sectors Nowadays, Zetes is a pan-European market leader for Goods ID and an EMEA leader for advanced People ID solutions. The combination of its broad geographical presence, wide-ranging experience and knowledge, rich set of solution building blocks and vertical business expertise are all elements which clearly bring an added value to its customers and offers unique solutions in the automatic identification market. |
